Anna has joined the project ‘Mobile Arts for Peace’(MAP) in 2021 and started her PhD journey at the School of Creative Arts at the University of Lincoln. Her PhD study aims to investigate what, how and why arts-based research and interventions contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of peacebuilding curricula for/with young people in diverse social, political and cultural contexts. A practice-as-research element of the PhD is research support and assistance to the Kyrgyzstan team of MAP to analyse their practical activities in adapting cultural forms and artistic approaches for peacebuilding and developing recommendations about effective and sustainable ways of engaging youth in conflict resolution and decision-making.

Over 20 years Anna worked at the Department of Social Work of St. Petersburg State University (Russia) as a researcher and lecturer. She is a Candidate of Science in Sociology. In 2018 Anna finished a year-long educational programme in art-therapy and became a certified art-therapist. Since then, she has been using arts-based methods in teaching social work and investigating the problem of developing identity and agency in young people

Turdumbetova Rymtai, an employee of the Bishkek office of the Foundation for International Tolerance, has experience in peacebuilding and conflict prevention projects since 2010. She has experience as a manager, coordinator, researcher, trainer in conflict analysis and development of action plans. Has experience in projects aimed at increasing the potential of youth in peacebuilding. Participated in an internship program for women – leaders of professionals Charlotte, North Carolina (ACCELS, Community Connections 2008) Has a Letter of Appreciation from the US Embassy for her work during the period of community recovery after the interethnic conflict in June 2010 in Osh and Jalal-Abad regions (2011). 

Turdumbetova Rymtai is a member of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan team of authors to develop manuals and modules for trainers (3 manuals) and school administrators (1 manual) on working with youth and school parliament. She has extensive experience in conducting seminars on tolerance for various groups of society, including young people. She has experience in organizing youth inter-parliamentary assemblies and youth camps. She has experience in grant management, facilitation of dialogue events, work with the media. She took part in the organization and conduct of the EGRA study (conducting individual structured and semi-structured interviews, surveys and observation of lessons). Through the work of the Foundation, she has established contacts with representatives of state structures at the national level: the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Speaks Kyrgyz and Russian.

Имеет опыт работы в качестве менеджера, координатора, исследователя, тренера по анализу конфликтных ситуаций и разработке планов действий.  Имеет опыт работы в проектах, направленных на повышение потенциала молодежи в миростроительстве.  Принимала участие  в программе стажировки для женщин – лидеров профессионалов Шарлотт, Северная Каролина   (АКСЕЛС, Связи сообществ 2008 г)  Имеет Благодарственное письмо от Посольства США за проведение работ в период восстановления сообществ после межнационального конфликта в июне 2010 года в Ошской и Жалал-абадской областях (2011г), 

Турдумбетова Р. является членом авторской команды Фонда Сорос -Кыргызстан по разработке  руководств и модулей  для тренеров (3 руководства )  и администраторов школ ( 1 руководство)  по работе с молодежью и школьным парламентом. Имеет большой опыт проведения семинаров по толерантности для различных групп общества, в том числе и для молодежи. Имеет опыт работы по проведению молодежных межпарламентских ассамблей и молодежных лагерей. Имеет опыт по управлению грантами, фасилитации диалоговых мероприятий, работы со СМИ. Принимала участие в организации и проведении иследования EGRA (проведение индивидуальных структурированных и полуструктурированных  интервью, опросов и наблюдений уроков)  По работе Фонда имеет установленные связи с представителями госструктур на национальном уровне: ГАМСУ МО, Министерство образования КР, МВД КР.   Говорит на кыргызском и русском языках.

Akmatalieva Shаkhsanam is a coordinator of MAP project in Jalal-Abad region of the FNI. She has 5 year experience in the sphere of peacebuilding. Shokhsanam came to FTI as a participant one of the successful youth projects “Youth Ambassadors and Interethnic Interaction”. She implemented several initiatives aimed at building capacity of youth and improving girls’ access to education in the villages. Then she became a volunteer in FTI and later was engaged as an assistant of the innovative project “Cameras in the hands of children” implemented in partnership with GPPAC. She participated in various research and advocacy campaigns.

 Rakhmankulov Bakhram has over 8 years of experience in peacebuilding, transformation and conflict prevention, working with youth issues, developing, monitoring and evaluating projects and programs. In the course of his professional activity, for more than 4 years, he facilitated the development and implementation of youth initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation, active civic participation and involvement of youth in the decision-making process in the communities of Batken region, Kyrgyzstan. Since 2014, he has been a volunteer for the international organization Generations for Peace. He is a co-founder of the Public Association “Peace Initiatives”, which has been actively working on the problems of youth and peacebuilding in Kyrgyzstan since 2010.

I graduated from Russian Academy of Theatrical Art (ГИТИС) in 1992 in Moscow I have staged over forty performances in various theatres of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and large number of government events. I put opera, drama and experimental performances in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan countries.

In 2003 he organized a public foundation for culture “SAKHNA” – art nomadic theater. This theatre participated in various festivals in the USA (city of New York), Poland (city of Wroclaw), Russia (Moscow), Kazakhstan (cities of Astana, Almaty, Taraz), Uzbekistan (Tashkent).

The main detail of the theatre “SAHNA” is the display of performances in remote regions of the country and the popularization of small epos of Kyrgyzstan.

Experimental nomadic theatre “Sakhna”, as a basis takes small Kyrgyz eposes, and demonstrates a new direction in theatrical art: combination of archaic and modern forms, ritual – nomadic theatre with meditative ways of expression, when the actors go to trans completely immersing into the process of game

Shabdanova Tazhykan, President of the Foundation for Tolerance International (FTI). FTI is a non-governmental organisation in Kyrgyzstan and Regional Secretariat of GPPAC in Central Asia. Tazhykan performs the duties of Regional Representative of GPPAC in Central Asia. Ms. Shabdanova has graduated from Law Faculty and has a master degree. Tazhykan works on peace education, peacebuilding, conflict transformation and preventing violent extremism since 2004. She has experience of working with different actors at local, national and international levels, including governmental and non-governmental organizations, religious communities, media, global think-tank groups, etc. Ms. Shabdanova is an author and co-author of manuals, analytical papers, publications related to peacebuilding and peace education in Kyrgyzstan. She was a part of FTI team during a process of developing Infrastructure for Peace in Kyrgyzstan led by UNDP.
